We Are Magazine

I’m really pleased to see my Dad Project – My Father and Me published in The Royal Photographic Society Women in Photography Magazine: We Are.

This is an extra-special edition of the magazine, celebrating 10 years of the publication and coinciding with International Women’s Day.

Dad Project is an ongoing body of work that has grown out of my experience of caring for my Dad over seven years. Through photography and personal written reflections, I have been exploring the everyday realities of care, family, ageing, illness, dying and the changing relationship between a parent and child. The work has developed alongside my life and continues to evolve as I revisit photographs, conversations, memories and experiences.

It feels particularly meaningful to see this work given 12 pages in the print magazine, which you can see on Issuu website, and to have the opportunity to share the project with a wider audience.

There are so many strong projects in this issue, by women working across the photographic world. I’m proud to be a part of it and grateful for the support, encouragement and sense of community. Thank you to the whole team and to editor Rachel Nixon for including my work and for creating such a wonderful platform for women in photography.
