Instagram Takeover: f/8 Documentary

I was invited by f/8 Documentary to host an Instagram takeover on their platform.

During the takeover, I shared a selection of images alongside the personal stories and spoken words from John and Mary. This gave the f8 community a closer look at the heart behind Love Is A Life Story and the people whose lives are at the centre of the work.

The series grew from photographing my father, John, and his neighbour, Mary, during lockdown. Sharing their images alongside their own words was particularly meaningful, as their voices and personal stories are an important part of the project.

It was a wonderful way to introduce the project before it went into print, as the series was subsequently selected for the physical zine, f/8 Documentary: Volume Five, published in collaboration with Fistful of Books.

I am grateful to f/8 Documentary for inviting me to share Love Is A Life Story with their community and for helping to give John and Mary’s story a wider audience.
