Exhibition Selection: Too Tired Project
I am very pleased that my work has been selected for the international online exhibition Too Tired for 2020, curated by Kelly Burgess for the Too Tired Project.
The Too Tired Project is a brilliant non-profit arts organisation that uses photography to spark open conversations about mental health and creative expression. This landmark exhibition brings together a global collection of imagery exploring isolation, political unrest, and the emotional weight of living through the first six months of the global quarantine.
My selected image sits alongside work from an amazing group of international artists, creating a visual record that reflects on the deep collective exhaustion, isolation and heavy emotional toll of the year 2020.
The exhibition brought together so many different perspectives and personal responses to the pandemic. It feels particularly meaningful to see this image of my Dad at the hospital after a lockdown become part of a wider conversation about the emotional impact of a period that affected all of us in such different ways.
