Publication Selection: The Mindful Editions 01

I am happy to be contributing to the debut book from The Mindful Editions, titled The Mindful Editions Edition 01.

Curated by Flora Butler, this inaugural collection brings together 10 poets and 10 photographers to create over 100 beautiful artwork pairings. The publishing house describes the collaboration as a “handshake between poetry and photography”. Very relevant considering my father’s lifelong interest in poetry.

For my contribution to the book, the image of my father on his first trip out to MK hospital after lockdown was paired with the words from the wonderful poet Kirsty Marshall. It has been a really interesting creative experience to see how the images can sit alongside words and create something new through the pairing of the two.
